Terms of Use

Last updated: July 7, 2026

These terms are an agreement between your family and the people behind Memory Lane. Please read them before you use the service. By setting up or joining a Memory Lane account, you agree to them.

Who these terms are with

Memory Lane (memorylane.care) is operated by Global Quest AI LLC, a company registered in Pennsylvania, USA, together with its Irish sister studio DigiGo, which runs the service for families in Ireland and the European Union. [Company details to follow].

A pilot service

Memory Lane is offered as a pilot. That means we are still learning with the families who use it. Features may change, and there may be times when the service is unavailable. We will do our best to look after your family’s memories, and this policy explains how you can get them out or ask us to delete them at any time.

Not medical care

Memory Lane is a tool for keeping memories and sharing them warmly. It is not a medical device. It does not diagnose, treat, cure, or slow dementia or any other condition, and it is not a substitute for professional medical, nursing, or care advice. Always rely on your loved one’s doctors and carers for their health and care decisions. If you are ever worried about someone’s wellbeing, contact a health professional.

Using Memory Lane responsibly

You agree to use Memory Lane lawfully and kindly, in the spirit it is meant. You agree not to misuse the service, try to disrupt it, or try to reach information you have not been given access to.

If you set up or manage a family memory bank

A family owner is the person who sets up a memory bank and looks after it. If that is you, you agree that:

  • you have the right to include the person the memory bank is about, with their consent where they are able to give it, or as a family member or proxy acting in their best interests under Ireland’s Assisted Decision-Making (Capacity) Act 2015;
  • you decide who joins the memory bank and what role they hold;
  • you, and the family members you invite, have the right to share the photos, stories, and recordings you upload, and to share them with the others in your family group;
  • you review and approve memories before they can be shown or read to your loved one, so that only content your family has chosen ever reaches them.

Your family’s content

Your family’s memories, photos, and recordings belong to your family. You give us permission to store and process them only to provide Memory Lane to you, as described in our Privacy Policy. We do not sell your content, and we do not use it to advertise to you.

Ending an account

You can stop using Memory Lane and ask us to close an account and delete its data at any time. We may suspend or end access if an account is used in a way that breaks these terms or puts other people or their memories at risk. If we ever end the pilot, we will give families a fair chance to export their memories first.

Our responsibility to you

We work hard to keep Memory Lane safe and dependable, but we cannot promise it will always be available or free of faults, and it is provided on an “as is” basis during the pilot. To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or unexpected losses arising from your use of the service. Nothing in these terms limits any rights you have that cannot be limited by law, including your rights as a consumer.

Which law applies

If you are a family in Ireland or elsewhere in the European Union, these terms are governed by the laws of Ireland, and the Irish courts will handle any dispute. If you are in the United States, these terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, USA, through Global Quest AI LLC. This does not take away any protection the law of your home country gives you that cannot be set aside by agreement.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as Memory Lane grows. When we do, we will change the date at the top of this page, and continued use means you accept the change. Questions? Email privacy@memorylane.care.
