A PARTICULARLY OBSERVANT PERSONAL CALENDAR
If desired, family members and (home) care professionals can put appointments and reminders in the calendar. The device can be set to ask for a confirmation that the user has seen the calendar message.
Appointments and reminders can be entered per day, week, month or year. A personal or other photo can also be added for each calendar item, for example for breakfast, lunch, dinner, theatre, when it is time to take medicines, birthdays, doctor’s or hospital appointments, etc.
FUN AND RAZOR-SHARP VIDEO CALLING WITH LOVED ONES
This feature allows all the connected members of the individual’s friends and family and others to communicate by means of video calling; they can see each other and so have live contact. Visual contact in particular can contribute to the well-being of the Memory Lane tablet user as well as their family and those closest to them.
Video calling has been proven to contribute to user well-being. Children and grandchildren can have unlimited communication with the elderly person remotely and at any time, for example if they are feeling lonely or need care.
A SMART PERSONAL PHOTO ALBUM THAT KNOWS YOU
The photo album offers the opportunity to depict a life history with treasured photos. When selecting the photos, it is important to choose images that represent a story or event that can evoke a fun or positive memory from the past and lead to social interaction. Or it could be a photo of a grandchild doing well at school. The photo album can be filled remotely by all connected users.
Within the photo module, you can also receive postcards sent by connected users. A postcard is sent from the Memory Lane app, in which a photo can be converted by adding a nice message and a postcard frame; it then appears on the screen with a click. Who doesn’t like receiving postcards with a personal message?
NOSTALGIC TV/FILM AND GREAT MUSIC CHANNEL CHOICES
Memory Lane has added two entertainment components for elderly people, TV/video and music. Memory Lane entertainment is easy to operate and make choices in.
In the TV/video module, which is easy to operate, we have two options; the first is newsreels with more than 200 hours of historical footage, including film of cities, the royal family, trains, Amsterdam, nature, etc. And we have also added content from the historic TV channel ONS, with old movies, documentaries and TV series from the past such as Onze Ouwe, The Onedin Line, Tatort, Upstairs Downstairs, etc. Unlimited enjoyable viewing, whenever you want it.
In the music module, we have put together a selection of music that will appeal to elderly people, such as ClassicFM, music streams of old hits from the ’60s, ’70s and ’80s, jazz and De Kerkomroep.nl, with various broadcasts for every Christian denomination. All music is supported by old historic news photos from ANP.

The Memory Lane exercise programme is handy, logical and smart! It means anyone can get started in a trice. The smart technology makes sure the more often you use the Memory Lane exercise module, the more you will notice the benefits.
DIRECT VIDEO CALLING CONTACT WHEN ASSISTANCE REQUIRED
By activating the HELP button, a live video connection is established with a family member or, if applicable, with a (home) care organisation. At the (home) care organisation, a team of professionally-trained carers will be the first point of contact and will respond to the client’s initial request for assistance. For many users/clients, this unique connection will provide an adequate response to their request for assistance. It can also offer a listening ear if they are feeling lonely.
